Viceroy Bali, an intimate, family-owned 40-villa resort nestled atop the Valley of the Kings offering five-star luxury, world-class Balinese hospitality, is pleased to introduce Akoya Spa, a reimagined, on-property spa and modern wellness center. Replacing Viceroy Bali’s Lembah Spa, Akoya promises to be a destination oasis with top-line treatments that will spoil your body from head to toe and an expanded selection of wellness-minded offerings, including IV-style infusions and Regenerative Therapy in partnership with Fusion Wellness. The new space will cater to guests of Viceroy’s Bali, but it will also be a destination in its own right for visitors across the island.
Akoya Spa is right at home in a region that plays host to a long history of healing. Viceroy Bali is located in Ubud – the city takes its name from the Balinese word “obat”, which literally means “herbs” or “medicine.” Guests can expect a full range of treatments that blend the best of Western techniques, with time-honored Balinese wellness traditions handed down over centuries. Exuding relaxation with its commodious couples’ massage rooms with full bath and facilities, luxurious reflexology chairs, beauty salon and easeful spaces with zen-like water installations and sweeping valley views, guests can book treatments such as massages, body scrub/wraps, facials, hair treatments, manicures and pedicures to enjoy onsite, with many treatments also available in the guest villas.
Local therapists, beauticians and aestheticians will pamper guests with treatments that range from romantic couples massages, to facials with the latest in ultrasound technology, to relaxing baths in sea salt or organic dried lavender. One signature treatment is a 60 or 90 minute traditional Balinese massage which uses essential oils, acupressure and long strokes to relax every muscle. Other popular options include a body scrub followed by a Super-Facial, which utilizes the Geneo platform for a three-in-one approach that treats the outside and inside of the skin.
One-of-a-kind wellness combination packages pair a physical activity – yoga, cycling or hiking – with luxurious two-hour spa treatments, while visitors from across the island can experience more of the resort by pairing two hours of indulgence at Akoya with lunch or dinner at the property’s CasCades restaurant. Those stopping by for a treatment can unwind before their manicure or Light Therapy session with a selection from the Champagne cellar, and guests of the Viceroy Bali hotel can also enjoy many of these treatments in the comfort of their villas.
Akoya also offers infusions and ozone therapy, in partnership with Fusion Wellness. Administered by professionally trained nurses and doctors, IV-style treatments are designed to revive and restore. Rife with vitamins, antioxidants, electrolytes and other essentials that are designed to promote optimal internal health and wellness, which help the outside glow as a result. Other treatments include Ozone Therapy, which increases oxygen levels in the blood to help fight inflammation and boost overall health and wellbeing, and Regenerative Therapy, which curates infusions of stem cells or peptides to promote cellular health and boost energy.
“Our visitors today look forward to relaxation and luxury, and of course we’re equipped to provide that with nearly two decades of experience as one of Bali’s most serene sanctuaries,” says Amanda Syrowatka, the hotel’s General Manager. “But today’s guests also want a comprehensive approach to wellness, and with the launch of Akoya in partnership with Fusion Wellness, we’ll be able to pamper the mind, body and spirit.”
Akoya Spa is now open at Viceroy Bali and available for appointments at www.akoyaspabali.com/contact-us or via concierge onsite.
