Manchester, VT – August 10, 2022 – The Golf Club at The Equinox has announced the completion of phase two of its four-phase full course renovation. The updates, led by Rees Jones Design include reworked greenside bunkers at holes 8, 13, and 14 as well as a redesign of the green complex on the 18th hole.
“We are extremely excited to finish Phase 2 of the renovation to The Golf Club at The Equinox! The new bunkers on holes 8, 13, 14 and 18 are a tremendous upgrade to the course. The 18th hole is now one of the signature holes on the course and will leave golfers wanting to play more.” Jay Sheldon, General Manager of The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa.
The acclaimed 1927 Walter Travis – designed course, which was redesigned by Rees Jones in 1991, is part of the historic Equinox Golf Resort & Spa, a four-season destination set amongst Vermont’s picturesque Green Mountains. The resort’s Par 71, 6,423 yard course offers spectacular views, and well-manicured, undulating greens ideal for all levels of play.
The first phase, which was completed in 2021, saw the reworking of holes 1,9, and 15, and removed several fairway bunkers, helping to speed up pace of play. The design improvements allow for greater enjoyment of the golf course for our resort guests and members.
To celebrate, The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa is offering “Unlimited Golf With a View,” which includes one day of unlimited golf at The Golf Club at The Equinox, preferred tee times, overnight accommodations, and a $50 resort credit per stay.
