Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Armitage as Director of Development, effective from December 1, 2024. Armitage has held key positions within several hotel and golf resorts in France and brings 30 years of professional experience to the role.
As part of his new role, Armitage will be responsible for steering and supporting the resort’s commercial development, to establish the destination as one of the most prestigious golf resorts both nationally and internationally. He will use his leadership, experience and passion to develop new partnerships with major players in the golf and tourism sectors, to support the creation of national and international sporting events.
Armitage has distinguished himself at the highest level within his industry in Europe, most notably his seven years spent as General Manager of Le Golf National in Paris; during which time he led the golf course through the organisation of the 2018 Ryder Cup with resounding success. Under his leadership, he worked tirelessly to elevate this destination to the status of a global benchmark for golf.
He was also a member of the Executive Committee of the French Golf Federation and more recently, he participated in the preparation of the men’s and women’s golf events during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as part of the organisation committee.
