(LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.) – McLemore, the acclaimed golf club and resort destination perched atop Lookout Mountain, announces that it is now accepting tee times at its new 18-hole championship golf course, The Keep.
Already touted as one of the best new golf courses in the country, The Keep is now taking reservations for walking-only preview rounds in the fall. Currently, bookings can only be made by contacting the McLemore Golf Sales team via email at stayandplay@mclemoreclub.com or by calling (800) 329-8154.
Joining the acclaimed Highlands Course at McLemore, The Keep is a stunning example of what it means to play golf ‘above the clouds.’ A mountaintop headlands course, the Bill Bergin / Rees Jones design features five cliffside holes overlooking McLemore Cove that present golfers with breathtaking vantage points at every turn.
Guests are advised that some facilities and structures such as the check-in building, turn house, restrooms and clubhouse at The Keep remain under construction, and temporary solutions will be in place until 2025.
“We are thrilled to open the doors to The Keep and welcome our initial guests to experience this incredible golf course for the first time,” says Duane Horton, President of Scenic Land Company, the developer of McLemore. “This is a landmark occasion on our way to the official opening of The Keep in 2025, and while there is still work to be done, we can’t wait to share a glimpse of what we believe will be one of the best golf courses in the country.”
Those enrolled as Friends of McLemore will also have limited access to The Keep. The Friends of McLemore invitation offers limited access for non-members to the club’s stunning Highlands Course, clubhouse dining at The Creag restaurant and bar, and luxurious accommodations on the beautiful mountaintop property. Friends of McLemore will be notified via email of their access to tee times at The Keep. All overnight guests through the Stay & Play program or guests at the hotel may access The Keep as tee times are available.
For those looking for more than limited public play, McLemore offers an exclusive investor membership opportunity at The Keep. Space is limited, but The Keep is still accepting applications for the Equity Investor Membership which includes preferred course access and exclusive benefits limited to 50 members.
Situated in the mountains of Northwest Georgia, McLemore’s lifestyle attracts discerning families who prefer to enjoy life “above the clouds.” Residences at McLemore are next-level, featuring custom-designed homes connecting with the spectacular natural beauty and breathtaking views to provide families an opportunity to enjoy life “above the clouds.” The club offers corporate and individual memberships with different categories built within each, and unique member events ranging from culinary to music.
