London, UK: ACRO Suites is a boutique wellness sanctuary on Greece’s much-loved island of Crete, designed for those seeking travel experiences that are far from the ordinary, not just a holiday, but a place where guests can reconnect with their inner and true selves.
Re-opening on 20th April 2023, ACRO Suites is introducing its newest addition, a brand-new restaurant offering intimate dining experiences with a twist, plus yoga sessions that tap into the concept of mindfulness.
Only a short distance from Heraklion International Airport and set in the tranquil and picturesque region of Agia Pelagia, this luxury hideaway is nestled within the cliffside and boasts panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. A serene contrast from the rugged surroundings and the crashing waves below, the architectural design merges a bohemian, contemporary flare with the unique natural surroundings.
Muted tones, sleek décor, and minimalistic aesthetics run throughout each accommodation option, from sea view suites with private infinity pools to the Sunset Villa on the West Cliffside, offering a divine mix of ocean blue and golden sunset views.
A firm favourite for many guests is the Cave Suite featuring custom-made wooden furniture, stone, and natural elements throughout, raw silk bed covers, spectacular sea views and a private pool. With sustainability playing a fundamental role in the hotel’s ethos, the Cave Suites have been built so that they maintain a stable and pleasant temperature year-round, with no air conditioning or heating needed.
This season, ACRO Suites introduces its new restaurant, Elaionas, based on an exclusive, fine-dining experience.
To reflect its name Elaionas (meaning “olive grove” in Greek) the gastronomic gem is to be located in a pretty olive garden and accompanied by panoramic sea views. The menu will feature a variety of traditional Cretan dishes and guests can also indulge in olive oil and wine-tasting experiences.
New for 2023, the Cretan retreat will also introduce a weekly yogic deep relaxation session on Sunday evenings that taps into the practice of yoga nidra which is a conscious yogic sleep, induced by guided meditation. The sessions will be taking place in the hotel’s Asana Yoga Shala, one of the hotel’s signature spaces dedicated to wellness built entirely out of bamboo.
Another key asset to the cliffside property is the Bath House, a dedicated spa for total relaxation and a space to lift your spirit. Inspired by the notion of hammams and purifying the soul, the Bath House has been created to pamper you as much as possible in the most natural and organic way, featuring an authentic Byzantine Hammam, a dry sauna, an outdoor pool, and several treatment rooms. From tension-melting massages to radiance-boosting facials, the spa’s extensive menu offers a plethora of holistic experiences to choose from.
