Having recently welcomed resident fitness and wellness instructor, Praveen Kavumchal – a yogi, Reiki master, healer, and spa expert – Vakkaru Maldives is delighted to be launching a series of wellness activations in 2024 to help guests focus on their health and wellbeing during their stay. Guests will be able to make the most of personalized wellness programs, new weekly programs designed by Praveen and his team, to help them maintain or reach their optimal fitness and health goals whilst residing in paradise; and exclusive time with visiting practitioners.

Merana Spa
Find inner serenity with expert therapists at Vakkaru’s Merana Spa, featuring luxurious overwater single and couple treatment rooms, an ayurvedic treatment room, hair and nail salon, spa boutique and outdoor wellness area featuring a warm whirlpool, cold plunge pool, sauna and steam room. Inspired by ancient rituals infused with quality ingredients from nature alongside modern skin and beauty advancements, Merana takes a holistic approach to treatments for rejuvenation, relaxation and overall mind, body and soul balance.

Young Guests
Vakkaru Maldives takes pride in its extensive kids’ club facility, Parrotfish Club, which offers a variety of wellness-oriented activities tailored for children aged 3 to 12 years. Young travelers can participate in yoga, Zumba, and engaging programs like Maldivian Dodgeball that promote physical and mental well-being in a fun and interactive environment.
Additionally, Merana Spa provides specially designed spa and wellness programs for young guests, empowering future generations with essential elements of well-being.
