(LA ROMANA, Dominican Republic) – Casa de Campo Resort & Villas – home to the Caribbean’s premier, luxury golf experiences, including its iconic “World Top 100 Course” Teeth of the Dog – is set to debut a golf tournament designed exclusively for women, its 1st Annual Ladies Open from Oct. 22 – 26, 2024.
Taking place at one of the most luxurious resorts in the world, the Ladies Open will include four rounds on the legendary seaside trio of acclaimed Pete Dye-designed layouts: Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and The Links. Since opening in 1971, Teeth of the Dog is widely recognized as the No. 1 course in the Caribbean. Golf course architecture aficionados call Dye Fore “the most underrated course in the Caribbean.” The Links showcases Dye’s genius for creating thrilling green complexes.
Along with the exceptional golf, highlights of the four days include a welcome dinner at Teeth of the Dog’s Golf Learning Center, a 50-minute signature massage at The Spa, complimentary transfers from all three area airports, and an awards banquet at the resort’s Minitas Beach Club.
The three days of tournament play will take place on the three championship golf courses with prizes awarded for the 1st and 2nd places in the overall flight, 1st and 2nd places in each flight, as well as “best approach” and “longest drive” each day. The format of play is Individual Stableford scoring with points assigned using 95% of the participant’s handicap. Flights are organized based on the number of players and divided by handicap indexes, including a general category.
Rates for the Ladies Open begin at $2,773 (per golfer, double occupancy). To book your spot at this one-of-a-kind tournament, please visit casadecampo.com.do/golf/tournaments/ladies-open-2024/.
