15th March 2021 – According to the Global Wellness Summit, 2021 will see a Self-Care Renaissance, which is a new era where wellness will lean into science, meanwhile healthcare will take a more holistic and lifestyle orientated approach. This comes 300 years after the Medical Renaissance (1400 – 1700).
BodyHoliday St. Lucia, recently voted the best spa in the Caribbean and amongst the top 10 worldwide by Conde Nast Travellers’ readers, has been pioneering in its approach for over 30 years, when it was the very first overseas destination spa. At the heart of BodyHoliday’s Wellness Centre is the holistic combination of Western knowledge and holistic Eastern practices to optimise health and wellness, ultimately enabling guests to live and age better.
Better Ageing at Bodyholiday’s BodyScience Clinic
Founded in 2015 BodyScience was a pioneering approach to ageing designed to enhance quality of life.
New for 2021, UK Medical Doctor, Dr Bointon has joined the team to refresh the Better Ageing Programme at BodyHoliday. Working in hand with Dr Govind Tiwadi, Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, they offer truly holistic and personalised programmes to guests, all with the goal to restore more youthful function.
The programme begins with a series of non-invasive tests to assess the current state of health, including a physical examination, measuring nutrient, hormone, and stress levels, as well as heart health and circulation. On-Site Blood tests have been added giving even more precise diagnostic information. The results are then analysed along with Dr Govind Tiwadi and his team to create the best programme, bespoke to that guest, including post-stay follow up for long-term results.
Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, for which the centre is famous, are ancient systems in preventative therapies and the programmes take in this knowledge to create lasting results. The prescriptions including everything from tailored spa treatments to FAR Infrared Therapy (dissolving hidden toxins), yoga, meditation, diet plans and Personal Training.
Rates at BodyHoliday start at $500 per person per night on an all-inclusive basis; programmes are charged at a supplement. British Airways operates regular direct flights. www.bodyholiday.com.
