Montego Bay, Jamaica – August 21, 2024 – Round Hill Hotel & Villas, an esteemed collection of private luxury villas, ocean-view rooms, and suites, proudly announces the debut of its most prestigious accommodation yet: the all-new Villa 14. Nestled on the historic site of Round Hill’s visionary founder, John Pringle—fondly regarded as the “Father of Jamaican Tourism”— this expansive estate offers guests an exclusive retreat, characterized by refined elegance and exceptional service, promising an unforgettable experience.
Designed collaboratively by the renowned Habjan Studio and the creative minds at Buero New York, Villa 14 comprises three distinct villas and a dedicated staff building, harmoniously blending sophistication with a serene, tropical ambiance. The Main House spans 4,800 square feet over two stories, while One Bedroom South offers 2,000 square feet across two levels, and Tree House, a three-story haven, covers 2,650 square feet. Each villa is a masterpiece of design, featuring high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling folding glass doors, and breathtaking views of the ocean and lush jungle, flooding the interiors with natural light.
“The number three holds a special significance for me. Our vision was to seamlessly integrate bohemian and campaign styles within a lush jungle backdrop, creating a harmonious and enchanting retreat,” said Alexander Wiederin, Creative Director at Buero New York.
Design team Agatha Habjan and Alex Wiederin created each villa to exude its own unique charm, yet together, they form a cohesive and magical whole—a true embodiment of unity.
“This was an extraordinary opportunity to help Round Hill create an immersive jungle sanctuary for guests with unique, curated villas and expansive Caribbean views,” said Agatha Habjan, principal at Habjan Studio.
The interiors of Villa 14 feature a blend of bohemian styles with an elegant European touch, complemented by an art collection showcasing local Jamaican artists. Custom-designed bamboo furniture, intricate millwork, and bespoke cabinets crafted by local artisans add to the villa’s distinctive charm. Playful elements, such as leaf-shaped outdoor lights and tropical-themed decor, are juxtaposed with the classic elegance of four-poster beds draped in flowing fabrics. The Main House features three primary and three secondary bedrooms, while One Bedroom South and Tree House each include a primary and secondary bedroom.
Renowned Landscape Architect Craig Reynolds has transformed the surrounding landscape into a lush jungle oasis, complete with secret hideaways, outdoor dining areas, palapas, and secluded benches for serene sunset views. Each villa boasts its own private pool and garden, with outdoor showers nestled against the verdant backdrop. The Main House also offers a lap pool and a yoga platform, perfect for wellness enthusiasts. Culinary delights are assured with private kitchens in each villa and a main kitchen in the staff building, offering dishes made from locally sourced ingredients.
Guests of Villa 14 will enjoy the dedicated services of a private kitchen staff, housekeeper, and gardener, ensuring a seamless and luxurious stay. The resort also offers a wealth of amenities, including an onsite fitness trail, five tennis courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and The Spa at Round Hill, featuring luxury Elemis brand aromatherapy products and treatments inspired by natural and indigenous elements.
Due to its exclusive nature, availability at Villa 14 is limited, offering a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Rates start at $4,800 per night, plus taxes, and include daily breakfast prepared by a dedicated villa staff and butler service.
