One of the most renowned hospitality groups operating in the Caribbean and South Florida, RED Hospitality and Leisure offers a wide spectrum of vertically integrated resort services and experiences, including watersports, beach, concierge, transportation, and destination management services. The acquisition of Alii Nui and Maui Dive Shop is a part of RED’s strategic expansion plan to strengthen its footprint into the leading luxury and lifestyle markets across the globe.
A custom built, one-of-a-kind, luxury sailing catamaran, Alii Nui is known for its reputation of providing the ultimate in service and amenities including sunset sails, dinner cruises, snorkeling and
whale watching excursions.
Maui Dive Shop is a sister company of Alii Nui that started its journey in 1978 as a small store. Over the years, it has grown into a foremost provider of Scuba instruction and excursions on Maui. Maui Dive Shop is the on-property provider of Scuba programming to The Grand Wailea Resort, Maui.
Both Alii Nui and Maui Dive Shop have carved a niche in the Hawaiian watersport market by delivering unmatched service standards over the last four decades. “I’m thrilled to welcome Alii Nui and Maui Dive Shop into the RED family of companies. Alii Nui and Maui Dive Shop will join Cruz Bay Watersports, Sebago Watersports, Lady Lynsey Luxury Excursions and Lady Grace Luxury Excursions as part of our expanding, best-in-class, portfolio,” said the CEO of RED, Chris Batchelor. “Our entrance to the Hawaii market is a material step forward. Maui has outpaced most luxury markets worldwide since 2020 and continues to show robust pickup. The pent-up demand for exceptional watersports and excursion experiences continues to grow and we are very excited to be part of the future of the market.”
RED’s acquisition of Alii Nui and Maui Dive Shop closed on March 17th of 2023.
