Encounter the beauty of Renon in Northern Italy, one of the most inspiring destinations for those looking to immerse themselves in nature.
Totally unspoilt and rich in flora and fauna, this haven-like region is perfect for those needing to recharge their batteries and slow down a pace.
Overlooking the Italian Dolomite Mountains on the Renon Plateau lies ADLER Lodge RITTEN, a beautifully chic five-star lodge. Considerately constructed from just wood and glass, it sits in harmony with its wild, natural surroundings. Its secluded forest backdrop sets the Lodge apart from the rest of the world making it a relaxing rural retreat in every sense.
It’s also easy to have a car-free holiday here as you explore this wonderful region at your own pace. The resort offers a shuttle service, as well as complimentary Bianchi electric bikes, helmets, hiking poles, and backpacks during your stay so that you’re always fully equipped. You’ll also receive a complimentary RittenCard that allows you to travel on South Tyrol’s public transport for free.
For example, you can hop aboard the Renon gondola, a state-of-the-art lift that reaches dizzying heights as it floats over vineyards. Glide all the way from the town of Bolzano to the sunny plateau of Soprabolzano.
ADLER Lodge Ritten provides a daily programme of complimentary activities so you can make the most of the natural beauty. Head out on guided walks with a local expert who will take you to some exceptional spots.
One such natural wonder? The Earth Pyramids – unusual cone-shaped pillars rising out of deep gorges up to heights of 30 metres! When you get closer, you’ll see that they’re grouped together like organ pipes and capped with stones. The phenomena of the Earth Pyramids have been formed over the course of a millennia due to continued alternating periods of torrential rain and drought. Once they lose their cap, they start disappearing back into the earth, but the good news is that new ones are being formed further up the slope!
Another way to get acquainted with the region is to head to the Rittner Horn. “For who wishes to see all of Tyrol at one sight shall climb these heights,” wrote the Austrian mountaineer, Ludwig Purtscheller in the late 19th century.
With its unrivalled 360° views at an altitude of 2,260 metres, on clear days you may get goosebumps with its seemingly endless horizon. The good news is that you no longer need climb it! During the winter, you can ride the T-bars right to the top on your skis or snowboard. In summer, you can go most of the way using the Ropeways Rittner Horn. Nearby you’ll find hiking trails that suit all ability levels, and inviting mountain inns that serve up tasty South Tyrolean treats.
Speaking of cuisine, as part of your all-inclusive arrangement at ADLER Lodge RITTEN you can tuck into fresh, traditional meals and varied beverages throughout your stay. There’s a beautiful panoramic restaurant where you can eat gourmet Alpine-Mediterranean delicacies under the stars.
The lodge boasts a farm-to-fork concept, sourcing ingredients from its own farm and gardens, which grow summer wheat, potatoes, vegetables, berries, and herbs. Even the honey comes from its personal forest beehives!
The rest of the produce is sourced seasonally from local farms within the Alto Adige region, including organic eggs, homemade juices, Speck bacon, and Wagyu and Chianina beef from grazing special breed herds.
Reclaim your freedom and invigorate your spirit as you delve into all the natural wonders awaiting you at ADLER Lodge Ritten.
